Ryan Trecartin
Ryan Trecartin's works are odd. they are more preforming arts than video arts, except for the various camera editing and the sound. Some of his work, like Valentine's Day Girl, so interesting themes like how people feel about various holidays. these were interesting to watch as well as amusing.
Pipilotti Rist
The various works of Rist are interesting. the first one, I'm Not The Girl Who Misses Much, is an interesting use of video editing, with the fast forwarding and editing. the other works showed an equal amount of amazing editing, i almost though they were using flash until i saw the dates of the performances. Rist was a great artist and a master of video art.
"T.V. Delivers People"
"T.V. Delivers People" was an interesting art piece. it is delivered like an infomercial with the kind of music that would would hear in such an advertisement while delivering the message about people and the media. a great work of art, to bad it was having trouble, since it was a copy.

Nam June Paik
Paik, born July 20, 1932 , died January 29, 2006, was a Korean born American artist. He worked with a variety of media and is considered to be the first video artist. Coming from a rich back ground, Paik had a lot of opportunities to experiment with his work. his most famous works were of robot men made out of T.V. His work was revolutionary and an inspiration to future artists.
The Residents
The Residents are a band that started in 1969. The band has gone on to release over sixty albums, numerous music videos and short films, three CD-ROM projects, ten DVDs, and have undertaken seven major world tours. For a long time, the band kept their identities a secret, usually wearing eyeball shaped masks. Their music is a complex mixture of theme, plots, and theories. a very interesting group indeed.
Stelarc
After looking at the artwork of Stelarc, I think of the pros and cons of what he does. On the pro side, these inventions could defiantly help people who can't walk or are mission a limb. On the con side, he may be damaging his own body with these experiments. Overall I am intrigued about his work and look forward to seeing what becomes of them.

Marina Abramovic's retrospective
When i first read this post, my first thought was what did Professor Echeverry mean by why? I would think he meant about people being removed for interfering with the artwork. I understand the importance to call security when someone touches you without permission, although it shows that people notice the art performance. Still you don't touch anyone without permission.

Mona Lisa and Salvador Dali
After looking at the image of Mona Lisa shown in class as well as the video of Dali, I see a change in the value of art. These works focus on making fun of or improving the old art styles. Dali's art, though dark, mirrors how humans experience things. Quit a unique approach to art.

Clockwork Orange- 1951-1971
After watching the segments from "The Clockwork Orange," I believe that society from 1951 to 1971 became immoral. Were in 1951, society was pleasant and people could walk in the streets without being afraid. while in 1971 people were doing drugs and killing people without any moral sense. Not one of the happiest times in this country.

Steve Jobs: Apple Tablet
One of the first things that comes to mind when i read this article is how our economy has changed over the years. In just a year the price of the product jumped from $200 to $400. it just goes to show how some of these items that could revolutionize the economy can't even make it to the shelves.
